Ni Hao! What do Pandas, Pagodas and Pastors have in common?

They came together and made this year’s VBS PandaMania a huge success! PandaMania was the theme for the Vacation Bible School (VBS) this week. Take a look at some of the awesome decorations that Pastor Ron and Pastor Chris made and painted by hand.

The talented and creative Pastor Ron painted this beautiful scene onto a plastic tablecloth and cleverly cut out around the sticks on a bamboo tablecloth and stapled it atop the scene for a more realistic Chinese mural.

Pastor Chris built this Chinese Pagoda from scratch. And adorned it with the Chinese symbols for God, Peace, Love and Joy. Isn’t it amazing?

Snow Leopard

The kids had fun making and decorating their own Asian-inspired hat.

This Chinese replica will be Gong With the Wind when VBS is over.

Pleasant Pheasant

They used Luan plywood and MDF board – traced, cut out and painted these beautiful exotic animals.

These mean God, Joy, Peace and Love. Ancient Chinese Symbols!  – See how the symbol for God (top one) looks like a man running toward the Cross? Cool, I know.

The kids have had lots of fun at VBS this year. They sing songs, make a craft, have a snack, learn how to pray and have a blast! To find a Vacation Bible School near you, simply google VBS and the name of your town and state. Be sure to take your kids for a fun, free week of summer camp where they’ll learn more about God.

Hope y’all are having a great summer! Love, Cindy :)
